Calling on all survivors of domestic violence, sexual assault, human trafficking, child abuse, or elder abuse!  Will you please take a few minutes to lift your voice?

The Charlotte-Mecklenburg Community is in the process of creating The Umbrella Center a family justice center model of services that will bring coordinated victim services under one roof.  The goal of The Umbrella Center is to provide comprehensive support for individuals and families in the most trauma-aware, seamless way possible.  You can read more about the vision on the CharMeck Family Justice Center website, here: https://www.charmeckfamilyjusticecenter.org/.  The Umbrella Center will serve families impacted by domestic violence, sexual assault, human trafficking, child abuse and/or elder abuse.

Some of you may have participated in the Family Justice Center Visioning Summit, community forums, and/or surveys back in September 2018.  That is when our community was just starting to feel out this model! The 2018 feedback has featured prominently in planning efforts over the last three years.  With the realization of our very own family justice center model - The Umbrella Center - now within sight, survivor input will continue to have a critical role in bringing this dream to fruition.

Please consider taking 10-15 minutes to participate in this brief survey.  The survey seeks to understand how survivors seek out or do not seek out services.  These survey results will add to and enhance the community and survivor feedback that was gathered in 2018.  All survey responses are confidential and will be received by Safe Alliance staff involved in The Umbrella Center planning.  Unless you provide your name or email address on the survey, your responses will be anonymous as well.

If you have comments, suggestions, or needs for clarification on the survey questions, please contact Laura Lawrence @ laura.lawrence@safealliance.org.

Thank you for taking time to raise your voice!
